After her weigh in and a talk with her soon to be new mum, we decided that Vici is ready to begin rehabbing and preparing for final release.

It came as a bit of a shock but her date has been moved up and she will be going to her new home in two weeks!
She will go into a large aviary with other possums first, and then be let out at night on her own in a soft release schedule I am sure she will adapt to.

It will be weird not having her here but I know what is best for her comes first and so this is the best result I could have possibly wished for. We're going to drive her up to her new place and take some pics of her release into her new home.

Its a good thing too in that its fire season now so my aviary will be ready for any newbies and we can act as a temporary stop point for those injured wildlife and other critters needing re hydration prior to transport to shelters.


.....still going to miss her tho..lots.
