Well..young swan actually...she crash landed in a lovely lady's backyard in Caroline Springs!
She became quite ill after rescue and was taken to Melbourne Zoo who did a fantastic job and now she is in a good location with a new swan family and lots of fish!
While I absolutely love going on bird rescues and have so far rescued a gorgeous falcon, a couple of cranky egotistical pelicans, several seagulls and now swanny, I am soooo glad I dont have to house them! Unlike possums who do the courtesy of pooping in nice small clumps easily removed..these critters just poop everywhere! They're just grots! lol..and I already have one teenager to tidy after :)
Here's Swanny....and a big thank you to the lovely lady who called in.

** Update on the wallaby I transported the other day ( last entry) I was right, she was blind and sadly, had to be put down. There was no way she coud be released as she was. Its very sad..she was amazing...but that is why she ended up in the river and why she couldnt be sent home.
