Hi Folks..meet Gigi the wandering possy from Gundagai:)
Gigi's mum was hit by a truck on the highway up north, and thankfully he stopped! ( yay) and found Gigi close by. He dropped her off here and she came into care a few days ago. Being from NSW I didnt think there would be that much difference but there is...she is already fully pelted and that pelt is very light compared to our local bushy brushy's who seem to have layers to cope with the cold here. She is also much lighter than our guys..both in colour and weight.

Ive been trying to feed her up but she refuses milk..she is eating lots of fruit which is grand but this morning I had a bit of a panic when she started barking'..a cough or so it seemed. I was worried about her chest but its fine..it just seems Gigi is doing a bit of a Zha Zha Gabor and has a wee sniffle...so we have her on some mild anti-biotics and gave her some oxygen therapy. She's perked up and is back in her pen.

The most amazing thing about this expererince has been getting Gigi home...in something of an amazing "co-incidence" one of our carers is headed to Gundagai this week!  So Gigi will be going to a lovely lady Rebecca there who will take on her care and rehab...hows that for serendipity!

Here's Gigi

and here's Gigi in pouch getting some oxygen...

In other news

Oh...and this is Pig...who thinks he is a dog...I snapped this at the local farm play thingy...he was so cute and did everything but bark.

Oh...before I forget...that domestic duck we rescued a while back (that we named Duk btw lol) has finally settled in and is laying me some wonderful eggs!! Its so cool:) She seems none the worse for her adventures and really likes the pen we made for her..she is lovely and comes now to her name. I havent tried her eggs yet..nto that I am not game..I just feel all precious about them..and mean for taking them from her lol...can you tell its been a while since I've been on the farm!

So all in all another busy week!
