Sadly Ariel didnt make it. Her mother was hit by a car and Ariel also was also traumatised and rolled in pouch. Bruises started to appear on day 2 of her care and she passed away shortly after. Such delicate little creatures it is very sad to see.


Swanny came back into care yesterday, she has injured her foot and needs a few days of antibiotics. She is having fun at our team leaders house and will be released again in 5 or 6 days. She integrated well into the local group of swans and enjoys the lake area. If it wasnt for her foot, we'd have left her happily there.

Reports from Wombles new home is she is going fabulously well. From her new mum:

" Wombles is still in her big cage having a ball, loves the flowering wattle we have everywhere at the moment.  Bill takes huge branches of the wattle and other natives to her every night.  She also loves all her fruit, endives and most of all honey bread she gets.  I had a little play with her on Saturday night, but she mainly jumps of Bill.  They all love Bill more because he is the food giver."
