Animal safety in suburbia..

This kangaroo was shot through the face with a bow in Bundoora Vic.
He is one of two roo's to be injured by bow hunters in the last week and is displaying terrible wounds...the risk of capture shock is so great they ( fantstic folks from Help for Wildlife) had to shoot him with an anesthetic dart in order to capture him for vet care.
Here is the story

Hang on..need to clarify...these people aren't hunters...as no self respecting hunter would shoot something they were not going to consume..and sit there taking pot shots at creatures stuck in a paddock..they didn't even use hunting bolts on their bows..so they're not hunters at all..just cowards.
This is sad and shocking...and so damn unnecessary....why not just pay for paintball and get that energy to shoot things out safely?
Thankfully, this roo is making a recovery in a shelter near Melbourne now..after what must have been a traumatic operation to remove the dart....I hope his mamma back in the field doesnt move on before he recovers.
